Got in a serious argument with my G/F on whether this should be posted or not on my web comic. I thought it was funny, she thinks it sucked and you people are probably sick of my political satire.
But, if the nature of freedom of speech is dictated by a few people, this could have even worse implications to society. Is morality worth more highly priced than freedom?
Y'see. First it's things like radio and television that's sanitized and purified for everyone to see and hear. So far, I've only heard rumors that the FCC will be hitting satellite TV, radio and cable. So it's like where does it end? People are offended at the Ten Commandments outside a courthouse in Alabama, people are offended that the Statue of Justice outside the Municiple building in Ft Worth shows one nippleless breast.
When does the book burning come out?
Maybe "1985" by George Orwell is the Bush Administration's handbook for governing America?
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
